My phone is asking for a PIN

Last updated October 14, 2026

Globeelink eSIMs don't use a PIN. If your phone prompts for one, it's picking up an old SIM-card setting — the fix is in your phone's settings.

PIN locks are a feature of some physical SIM cards; Globeelink eSIMs are PIN-free.

  • iPhone: Settings > Mobile Service > the line > SIM PIN > off. If asked for the current PIN, try 0000 or 1234.

  • Samsung: Settings > Biometrics and security > Other security settings > Set up SIM card lock > the line > off.

  • Pixel: Settings > Security & privacy > More security settings > SIM card lock > the line > off.

  • Other Android: search Settings for "SIM lock" or "SIM PIN."

It's a one-time fix — you shouldn't see the prompt again on future trips.
