What happens if my trip gets cancelled?

Last updated October 14, 2026

If your eSIM hasn't been delivered yet, it's fully refundable with no fee. If it's been delivered but hasn't activated, you can request a refund within 21 days of issue. Once it activates, a standard refund is no longer available.

Booked ahead, not yet delivered

Easy case. Message Globeebot with your order number — because the eSIM hasn't been issued, it's fully refundable with no fee.

Delivered but not yet activated

Still refundable within 21 days of issue (a processing fee applies; see the refund article). Activation is when your phone connects to a network in your destination, or your plan starts automatically 30 days after your eSIM is issued — if neither has happened and it was issued less than 21 days ago, you're within the window.

Once it activates

No longer eligible — the plan has started.

Travel insurance

For trips with significant value at risk, travel insurance often covers ancillary costs like an eSIM when a trip is cancelled. Worth checking your policy.
